第七届“镇海杯”国际工业设计大赛

一、大赛背景:

为全面落实科学发展观,按照“重塑新优势、实现新跨越”的战略要求,围绕产业转型升级和创新型城区建设,推动区域工业设计产业的发展,提升制造企业自主设计创新意识,提高设计行业的整体实力,举办“镇海杯”第七届国际工业设计大赛活动。本届大赛在已成功举办六届的经验基础上,为提升大赛作品品质和辅导参赛选手设计表现能力,特增加了参赛设计师、指导专家和企业研发团队互动的创意设计营环节,不但让设计选手有更多的沟通学习机会,也让创意作品更加贴近市场和用户。

六、大赛设组:

设计作品分为五组:“公共组”、“埃美柯水暖洁具组”、“丽辰电器壁炉组”、“公牛开关插座组”、“招宝山旅游风景区和中国防空博览园旅游纪念品设计组”。设计产品外观符合国际流行趋势,体现企业市场定位要求,符合市场需求,实现产品的实用性、功能性、智能化及人性化要求,鼓励采用新技术、新工艺、新材料,符合环保、节能要求。

1、公共组:

内容:面向未来的创意概念作品。

要求:(1)本着以节能、环保、易用、安全等为设计理念,能够给人类生活及生存环境带来积极意义的一切创意概念作品。(2)产品类别不受限制,但设计作品应具有3年内的可实现性。

 2、埃美柯水暖洁具组(http://www.amico.cn

内容:水龙头、卫浴洁具产品的设计;

要求:(1)产品设计的创意要求新颖,并符合市场潮流趋势和人们的使用习惯;(2)在设计上应考虑产品的实用性及功能性、人性化要求;(3)鼓励采用新技术、新工艺、新材料,符合低碳、节能、智能化生活趋势。

    3、丽辰电器壁炉组:

内容:壁炉产品的设计;

要求:(1)可任选燃气壁炉,燃木壁炉,电壁炉,酒精壁炉中的一种或多种作为设计目标;(2)外观新颖,有文化底蕴,能在一定程度上把握壁炉的发展趋势;(3)充分考虑欧美文化对壁炉的影响,并在设计作品中体现出不同风格的壁炉;(4)具备一定的概念超前性或短期内可实现性的作品为优选。(5)壁炉相关知识请点击链接。

4、公牛开关插座组:(http://www.gongniu.cn/

内容:开关、插座产品的设计

要求:(1)墙壁开关设计:以装饰开关为主题,从满足不同家装风格为目的,设计全新墙壁装饰开关,需区别与市场现有产品,可以从表面装饰,使用人群、使用环境、使用方式以及新材料、新科技、新功能、新工艺等角度出发进行设计思考。

2)插座设计:以电源管理为主题,可根据使用环境(情景)的不同进行设计,例如办公室、会议室、客厅、厨房等场所。设计可以针对以上使用环境、人群、人机操作、及功能等进行创新设计。

3)两项产品的设计需按照主题要求进行设计,整体设计要体现时尚性、安全性、实用性、人机性的要求。外观造型符合流行趋势与审美水平,功能、材料、工艺的设定需考虑可实现性。

5、招宝山旅游风景区和中国防空博览园旅游纪念品设计组:

内容:招宝山旅游风景区及中国防空博览园旅游纪念品设计

要求:1、创新性:具有很好的创意,作品表现独特,技艺手法有创造性; 2、纪念性:充分体现招宝山招宝祈福文化和中国防空博览园军事文化主题;3、市场性:市场前景定位准确,价格制定合理,符合当前旅游者的需求; 4、实用性:要求作品在使用及包装上考虑全面,与作品本身相匹配,并具有实用价值; 5、工艺性:材料、色彩、工艺选择精湛合理,技术与艺术融合恰当。

 

七、参赛要求:

    所有作品必须原创,且无仿冒或侵害他人知识产权;

    作品需符合本届大赛的主题和宗旨;

    作品要求设计与技术相结合;

    作品需要充分考虑市场价值和批量化生产的可实现性;

    概念产品作品具备前瞻概念性,在一定程度上把握产品未来的趋势;

    曾经参加过其他设计竞赛或为第三方服务设计的产品方案不得参赛。

八、参赛程序:

1.参赛费用:免费报名参赛;报名表下载

2.递交作品相关说明:

¨  设计作品与报名表需同时以E-mail2006iidc@163.com    , 或光盘邮寄(中国杭州浙江大学玉泉校区曹光彪东楼101  邮编:310027)的方式发送到组委会;

¨  设计作品分为五大类:“公共组”、“埃美柯水暖洁具组”、“丽辰电器壁炉组”、“公牛开关插座组”、“招宝山旅游风景区和中国防空博览园旅游纪念品设计组”;

¨  设计图要求:A2幅面(420mm*594mm,200dpi精度,能够保证大幅面喷绘和印刷要求;

¨  每件作品仅限一张版面,作品为jpg格式的电子文件;

¨  效果图表现:手法不限,手绘、计算机等任何方式,能清楚表现设计者的创意和设计即可,但最终以电子稿形式提交;

¨  版面内容主要由以下内容组成:整体效果图、局部效果图、设计说明、作品名称(版面中不得出现作者姓名及任何标记,否则视为无效作品);

¨  递交作品到2012728日截止。

九、 创意设计营:

按照730日初评入围的结果,在81821日,举办创意设计营。邀集除公共组以外的初评入围作者或团队代表(每件作品限一人)到宁波参加为期4天的“创意设计营”。以选手+指导专家+企业研发团队,组成若干创意设计营,在选手原有创意基础上进一步发掘完善和再设计,更加贴近企业产品设计研发和参与市场竞争的需要,使原创方案更加成熟,并在此基础上制作模型;入围作品和模型在颁奖典礼现场进行展示(作品以图板和模型形式同时展示);模型由主办方统一负责制作,制作费用由主办方承担。

十一、评选标准:

n  是否符合本届大赛的主题和宗旨,是否符合参赛要求;

n  所设计的产品方案是否具有前瞻性,创新程度如何;

n  是否具有符合现代社会的审美趋势,以及是否具有一定的市场价值;

n  在现代制造技术方面,是否具有批量生产的可行性;

n  用户的价值方面,包括操作的便利性、舒适性、安全性、易用性、通用的功能等;

n  绿色设计,环保要求、节约制造成本、能耗等方面。

n  公共组以作品文件资料进行终评,企业冠名产品组入围选手凭模型进行现场答辩打分,经综合复评后确定奖级等次。

十四、知识产权

n  所有参赛作品知识产权归作者所有,主办方享有对方案进行推介、展示、出版及其他形式的推广、宣传等权利。主办方享有大赛作品的优先受让权。除主办方授权外,任何单位、个人和第三方不得将本次大赛的作品进行再设计、生产、销售、宣传、出版、展览及其他形式的推广、宣传等,否则,主办方有追究法律责任的权利;

n  对于具有产业化意向的设计方案,主办方可组织设计者与企业对接,将设计成果产业化。

1 Background

To implement the development of science comprehensively, following the strategy of remodel new advantage and achieve new bridge, surrounding the changing and upgrading of industry and new city construction, driving the development of regional design manufacturing industry, enhancing awareness of self design idea in the enterprise manufacturing industry, promoting the strength of the whole design industry, the 7th “Zhenhai Cup” International Industrial Design Competition is hold. The 7th competition is hold in the foundation of experiences from conducting six years’ competitions. In order to improve the quality of the competition design work and assist the performance ability of the competitors, interactive activities in the creative design camp are specially added for the designers, guiding experts and enterprise research team. This not only increase the chance for design competitors to learn through communication, the design product will also be more close and relevant to market and user.

6 Competition Categories

There are 5 design groups, namely Public group, Amico Plumbing Group, RICHEN Electronic Fireplace Design Group, Gongniu switch socket group, The Zhao Bao Shan tourist scenic spot and the design of the Chinese air defense Exposition tourist souvenirs group. The design follows the international trend, reflecting the request of enterprise market position and meets the market demand. The design product should be realistic, functional, intelligent and user friendly. It is encouraged to use new technology, new industrial arts, new industrial materials, and meeting the environmental friendly and energy saving requirements. 

 

1 Public Group

 

Content: Product with creative concept caters to the future.

Requirements:

The creative product with the spirit of energy-saving, environmental protection, ease of use and security should bring positive meanings to human life and survival environments. (2) There is no restriction in product category, but the design product should be achievable.

 

2 Amico Plumbing Group: (http://www.amico.cn)

 

Content: Water-taps design, bathroom sanitary ware product design

Requirements:

The design of the product has to be new and original, and fits the market trends and human using habits. (2) Practical, functional and humanized requirements should be considered in designing the products. (3) The adoption of new technologies, new processes, new materials, environmentally friendly, energy saving and intelligent life design is encouraged.

 

3 RICHEN Electronic Fireplace Design Grouphttp://www.richen.com.cn/Introduction.pdf

 

Content: Fireplace product design

Requirements:

(1) One or more of the products including gas fireplace, wood-burning fireplace, electric fireplace and alcohol fireplace can be chosen for the design target. (2) Novel appearance, cultural content, grasp the development trend of the fireplace to a certain extent. (3) Fully consider the influence of European and American culture, and reflects different design styles of fireplace. 4 Gongniu Switch Socket Group: (http://www.gongniu.cn/)

 

Content: Switches and sockets deisgn

Requirements:

(1) Wall switch design: the theme is decoration of switch. It can be used to satisfy different family styles. The design of new wall switch should distinguish with the product in the current market. The design idea can be from the appearance of decoration, a group of people, the environment, the methods and new materials, new technology or new features.

(2) Socket design: the theme is power supply management. It can be designed depending on the different environment (scenarios), such as offices, conference rooms, living room, kitchen and other places. Innovated design can aim at the environment, population, human-machine operation and function.

(3) The design of these two products must be in accordance with the design theme, and the overall design must embody fashion, safety, practicality, man-machine requirements. Appearance must be in line with the trends and aesthetic level, features, materials, industrial arts settings. The settings should consider achievability.

 

5 The Zhao Bao Shan Tourist Scenic Spot and the Design of the Chinese Air Defense Exposition Tourist Souvenirs Group: (www.zhzbs.com)

 

Content: Zhao Bao Shan tourist scenic spot and Chinese air defense Exposition tourism souvenir design

Requirements: (1)Innovative: Unique product showing good idea and creative craft techniques should be provided. (2) Memorial: Fully reflects the theme of Zhao Bao blessing culture of Zhao Bao Shan and Chinese air defense Exposition military and culture. (3) Marketability: Accurate positioning of the market prospects, formulation a reasonable price, and in line with the current needs of tourists. (4) Practicality: Fully consider the usage of products and packaging and with practical value with the product. (5) Manufacturability: materials, hue, reasonable industrial art, appropriate technology and integration of arts.

 

7 Competition requirements

All products must be original and must not counterfeit or infringe intellectual property rights.

All products must be in accordance with the current competition theme and objective.

Product is required to combine design and skills.

Product should fully consider market value and feasibility of large scale mass production.

Conceptual product should contain prospective concept and grasp the future trend in some extend.

The products which have attended any other competition or designed for the third-party are not allowed.

Submission of Designs

Design work and registration form should be sent to 2006iidc@163.com or the design work in CD sent to the committee to Room 101, Cao Guang Biao East Building, Zhejiang University (Yuquan Campus), Hangzhou, China, Zip Code310027

 

5 main design categories: Public group, Amico Plumbing Group, RICHEN Electronic Fireplace Design Group, Gongniu switch socket group, The Zhao Bao Shan tourist scenic spot and the design of the Chinese air defense Exposition tourist souvenirs group.

 

Drawing Requirements: A2 (420mm*594mm), 200dpi, to guarantee large scale inkjet plotting and printing.

 

One design can only occupy one space of a whole page with jpeg type.

 

Rendering Pictures: It can be done in any methods, such as hand-painted or computer graphic, as long as the creativity and design can be clearly demonstrated. The final product has to be submitted electronically.

 

Layout of design: Overall rendering picture, part rendering picture, product description and design title. (The designer’s names or any other recognizable marks should not appear on the design page. Otherwise, the design will be eliminated from this competition).

 

Deadline of Submission: July 28th, 2012.

 

9 Creative Design Camp

According to the result of first round elimination on July 30th, 2012, a creative design camp will be held on 18th – 21st August 2012. Every first round participant or team representative (every design product is limited to one person) from all categories except the public group are invited to participate a 4 day creative design camp in Ningbo. Competitors, guiding experts and enterprise research team will form a number of creative design camp. Competitors have to explore improvement and redesign based on the original design foundation. The products should be close to enterprise product design development and meets the requirements for market competition participation. This leads to a more mature original proposal and also creates a model based on the foundation. Finalist products and model will be demonstrated on the awarding ceremony (Products are demonstrated in the form of plate and model). Organizers are responsible to make the model and also responsible for the expenses cost.

11 Evaluation Criteria

In accordance with the theme and objective of the competition while complying with the entry requirements

Forward-looking and innovative

In line with the modern aesthetic trends and also with a certain market value

Feasible for mass production with regard to modern manufacturing technology

Convenient, comfortable and safe for operation, easy for use and generic in function for a better user experience

Green design and environmental friendly, saving the cost of manufacturing, energy consumption and so on

The final review of the product in public group will be determined based on the document information. The selected competitors from the enterprise title sponsorship group use model to perform a grading assessment on the spot. The final ranking will be determined after comprehensive assessment.

 

12 Composition of Committee

The committee of preliminary assessment will consist of domestic experts and entrepreneur experts.

The committee of final assessment will consist of domestic and foreign experts and enterprise industry sector.

 

13 Awards

There are 5 groups in the competition, 4 groups are enterprise title sponsorship. 10 pieces of products are selected for each group. Each group has 1 First Prizes, 2 Second Prizes, 3 Third Prizes, and the others are honorable prize.

First Prize (5 persons): 30,000RMB x 5 +Certificate + Cup
Second Prize (10 persons): 10,000RMB x 10 +Certificate + Cup
Third Prize (15 persons): 5,000RMB x 15 +Certificate + Cup
Honorable Prize (20 persons): Certificate
Honorable Organization Prize (10 persons): Certificate+Cup

In total, there are 60 prizes, 325000RMB and about 100 certificates and 40 Cups.

 

14 Declaration of Intellectual Property

As with all the entry designs, the hosts have the right to promote, display, publish and advertise in any other forms. Except authorized by the hosts, any organizations, individuals or third-parties are forbidden to re-design, produce, sell, promote, publish, exhibit and advertise any of the entry design in any forms. Otherwise, the hosts have held legally accountable rights.

 

For the designs which have industrialization potential, the hosts can connect the designers to the enterprises, helping to industrialize the designs and the designers could be financially awarded according to the industrialization extent.
